The money raised will help offset the cost of illustration of the remaining books in the series, and to help cover the cost to donate books to public libraries, private and public schools and also to organizations who work to help protect children. The books teach children the importance of online safety to help families, in a fun way, teach young children how to navigate the virtual world safely.

As you know, I’m authoring a children’s book series dedicated to teaching kids how to stay safe online. The Estie Files uses engaging, character-driven stories to introduce real-world online safety topics in a way that’s easy for children to understand. This series empowers young readers while helping parents start those important—and sometimes difficult—conversations about navigating the digital world safely.

In today’s digital world, children are spending more time online than ever before—often without understanding the risks that come with it. That’s why I created *The Estie Files*, a heartwarming and educational children’s book series designed to teach kids about online safety in a fun and engaging way.

Now, I need your help to bring the next books in the series to life! Every donation goes directly toward illustration and publication costs, ensuring that more families have access to these valuable resources.

The journey begins with *The Estie Files: The Case of Online Safety*, where we meet the lovable animal friends of Whispering Woods. Wise old Oliver the owl notices his young friends becoming absorbed in their devices and worries about the dangers lurking online. To help, he calls in K9 Estie, a tech-savvy canine, to teach them how to protect their privacy, recognize online dangers, and be kind in the digital world.

Each book in *The Estie Files* series follows a different woodland friend as they face real-world online challenges—whether it’s oversharing personal information, encountering cyberbullies, or falling for an internet hoax. Through these engaging and relatable stories, children learn practical lessons that empower them to make safe and responsible choices online.

Enjoy a preview of the upcoming titles and the important online safety topics they explore in future books of the series:

Synopsis of The Estie Files Series
Book 1: The Estie Files: The Case of Online Safety
In Whispering Woods, Oliver the owl notices his young friends becoming absorbed in their devices and worries about the dangers lurking online. To help, he calls in K9 Estie, a tech-savvy canine, to teach them about online safety. With Estie’s guidance, the young animals—Dawn, Robbie, Missy, Frannie, Sarah, and others—learn how to protect their privacy, recognize online dangers, and practice kindness in the digital world.

Book 2: A Tail of Cyberbullying
Sarah the squirrel is devastated when cruel messages about her extra-bushy tail appear on “Forestbook.” Unsure of how to handle the cyberbullying, she confides in Oliver, who calls on K9 Estie for help. Estie teaches Sarah strategies for dealing with online bullies, including blocking, reporting, and seeking support from trusted adults. The story reminds young readers that bullying—online or offline—is never okay and that kindness is always the best approach.

Book 3: A Case of the Pretend Prince
For her 13th birthday, Dawn the deer receives her first cellphone and quickly begins chatting with a charming young deer who claims to be new to the neighboring forest. He asks Dawn to keep their friendship a secret and suggests meeting in person. When Dawn confides in her best friend Sarah, Sarah alerts Oliver, who immediately calls K9 Estie. Estie investigates and discovers that the so-called “prince” is not who he claims to be. This story teaches children about online predators, the dangers of keeping secrets, and the importance of talking to trusted adults.

Book 4: The Case of the Text Trap
Robbie, a teenage rabbit, loves gaming online. When a fellow gamer claims to be a model scout and tells Robbie he has what it takes to be a star, Robbie is intrigued. The scout convinces him to send test photos, then pressures him into sharing an inappropriate picture—threatening to expose Robbie if he doesn’t send more. Feeling trapped, Robbie turns to Oliver for help. Oliver brings in K9 Estie, who teaches Robbie a critical lesson: never take or share a photo that he wouldn’t be proud to show his grandmother, Ruthie. Robbie realizes that sharing the photo was a mistake, and now steps must be taken to ensure he learns from it and stays safe moving forward. Estie helps Robbie understand the dangers of online blackmail and sextortion, emphasizing that even when mistakes are made, there is always a way to get help and make things right. This story empowers children to think before they share, seek support when in trouble, and understand that they are never alone in facing online dangers.

Book 5: A Case of Online Overload
Frannie the fox is obsessed with her new tablet, spending every free moment playing online games. As her grades drop and her friendships suffer, she fails to see the problem. Her friends, concerned about her well-being, ask Oliver for help. Oliver brings in K9 Estie, who helps Frannie recognize the impact of her excessive screen time. This story highlights the importance of balancing online and offline life, encouraging children to set limits and enjoy real-world experiences.

Book 6: A Tale of the Frightening Footage
Missy the mouse stumbles upon a viral video titled, “The Shadow Snacker of Whispering Woods: Caught on Camera!” claiming that the terrifying creature lurks in Whispering Woods, hunting young animals to eat. Overcome with fear, she struggles to sleep and feels anxious all the time. When she confides in Oliver, he calls K9 Estie to help. Estie reassures Missy that not everything online is true and teaches her how to fact-check information. The story also reminds Frannie, who initially dismissed Missy’s fears, to be a supportive friend instead of making fun of others’ concerns.

Book 7: A Case of the Overwhelming Online School Assignment
Bonnie the bunny is assigned a school project about frogs but quickly feels overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information online. She procrastinates until the last minute and panics when she realizes how little progress she has made. Unsure of where to start, she seeks help from Oliver, who calls on K9 Estie. Estie teaches Bonnie how to navigate search engines, filter out unreliable sources, and organize her research. This story helps children develop critical thinking skills and confidence in tackling schoolwork in the digital age.
