Help bring the dream to reality!

Hello everyone!

As many of you know the struggle to bring this dream has been a real roller coaster of successes and failures. The idea was simple. Create a place for people of similar minds and interests to come together and learn, laugh, and enjoy our very particular passions. A place where all of nerd kind can gather to game, cosplay, forge swords, feast and create together!

Now, all that has come to an abrupt end. Due to issues with permitting and city codes, the NorseForge has been shut down.

Problem after problem has arisen from this location. Everything from constant noise complaints, to mechanical code issues, you name it. And I have fought with everything I have to make this dream come true. In the past year I’ve spent between 70-80 thousand dollars trying to make this dream a reality aNF it’s all come to an end.

The gatherings and hammer ins we were able to host were absolutely incredible and we wanted to expand on that. We even planned on trying to purchase land to build an even bigger and better location for them. We wanted to expand the dream. We needed to find a suitable location to gather more than just 200 nerds! We wanted to find a place far from the bureaucracy and red tape of our current location, which i can no longer even forge in.

We need a kingdom of our own!!

A piece of land here in North Carolina where we can build our world how we see fit! A place to host bi-annual renn faire sized events and gatherings! A place where people can come and camp, game, and LIVE out our passions in an unrestricted environment! An exclusive place where we can truly let out our inner nerd, animal, viking, knights, and of course BLACKSMITH!!

I want to build a large meeting hall/Meade hall in the center of things, and use whatever land we can acquire to build a permanent village straight out of our favorite games and adventures. A fully operable medieval market, an operational smithy, stables, and cabins available for rent as an air b&b! A true place to LIVE your fantasies!! A place where all of the artists and artisans here at the Norse Forge can teach their crafts to others! From painters, smiths, leather workers, and professional sword fighters!

We’re even kicking around the idea of having a yearly post apocalyptic Wasteland style event!! And that’s the beauty of the outpost!! Complete and total freedom!! During the times we’re not hosting our gatherings, the land would be available for others to host their own events!!

Unfortunately this is a huge goal, with very little time to accomplish it. I’m not typically one to ask for help, but it’s come down to that. I’ve already put in all of my savings and assets into making this dream a reality, and we’re still a VERY long ways off. Hell, I’m currently living in an old camper on a buddies property at the moment.

If we can even just raise enough for a down payment on some land, I’m willing to put up everything I own and have to make it happen. This place will be one of a kind, and the very essence of nerdom.
