Hi everyone,
Some Mac users have been asking me to release macOS versions of my free audio plugins, including AU/VST3 versions for their DAWs.
At the moment, my plugins are officially developed and released for Windows as 64-bit VST2 plugins. I’m an old school Windows/Amiga/tracker guy, and honestly not exactly an Apple fan.
But I listened.
A proper macOS release is not just “export and upload”. It requires extra build time, testing on macOS, Apple Developer costs, signing/notarization, and ideally having access to a Mac so I can properly build, test, fix, and update the plugins myself.
The plugins will remain free.
This fundraiser is only to cover the macOS side of the release.
EASY GOAL: 1 year Apple Developer license (€150)
This would allow me to release properly signed/notarized macOS versions of the plugins, covering the first year of Apple Developer costs.
HARD GOAL: Buy a Mac for development/testing (€1000)
This would allow me to build, test, fix, and update the macOS versions with the same timing as the Windows versions, instead of depending on someone else’s machine.
Windows VST2 64-bit will remain the official version, but if the Mac community really wants AU/VST3 versions, this is the cleanest way to make it happen.
Thank you to everyone who supports this.
Small donations will be appreciated too!
