Help bring the art van back to life!

In the summer of '23, I had four feature-length films lined up as a production designer, another as a prop master, with more jobs in the works.
I was in need of a new work vehicle, so I decided it was time to get a small cargo van to better support my film jobs.
I purchased a very nice used Nissan NV200, and it was perfect for my needs. No more struggling to fit my kit and props, no more sacrificing the safety of seeing out my passenger window because I had to stack totes in front of it.
Everything was going great, then the actors' strike hit. I lost two of the films lined up. From there, paid work progressively slowed, but I still helped when I could afford to on non-paid projects as I'm a firm believer that a film community supports each other and filmmaking isn't only for those with money.
In October, on my way home from set from one of these volunteer film jobs for a friend, my engine blew. At the time, I didn't know what exactly was wrong, so over the next few months, I spent around $1,200 on repairs.
Finally confirmed by two mechanics, I need a new engine. Because the cost of repairs is less than what I owe on the vehicle, I need to make the repairs.
Not having the van has had a huge impact not only on my family and my ability to work but in my passion for helping my film community.
I have two children with disabilities and a toddler who has speech therapy three times a week. If I take my wife's vehicle for work or to help on non-paid projects, they miss critical services.
I hate asking for help, but I realistically will not be able to fix the van without it. Just know that your help in repairing this van will undoubtedly help dozens of no-budget films over the next few years.
Thank you
