I am Craig, and I am reaching out to share a deeply personal chapter of my life that has taken an inspiring turn. Three years ago, I embraced the role of King Henry VIII for a Tudor living history group, immersing myself in the rich tapestry of history. However, six months ago, I received the heartbreaking diagnosis of a degenerative disease. Faced with this new reality, I have decided that it’s time to create a bucket list—a collection of dreams I must fulfill before time slips away.

One of my most profound ambitions is to produce a breathtaking photographic exhibition entitled “Tudors Re-Imaged.” Picture this: stunning images that embody the grandeur and artistry of old master paintings. I have found an exceptionally talented photographer who will help us transform our portrayal of Tudor figures into artworks that rival those in the finest galleries. Alongside her dedicated team, we can capture the spirit of the Tudor court through captivating imagery.

I am thrilled to share that I have gathered a passionate group of re-enactors who will bring this vision to life—featuring two interpretations of King Henry VIII, including myself as the older king, as well as all of his six remarkable wives, Princesses Mary and Elizabeth, King Edward VI, Queen Mary I, and the illustrious Queen Elizabeth I. Every participant, from the re-enactors to the photographer, is generously donating their time and talents to this endeavor, driven purely by passion rather than profit.

However, to truly showcase this art, we need your support. Imagine the grandeur of portraits displayed at The National Gallery in London; that is what we aspire to achieve! Each portrait will cost between £350 - £450 to manufacture, reflecting the intricate process required to transform photographs into Old Master style paintings. Your donations will directly fund the printing, preservation varnishing, and careful framing of these stunning works of art. With your help, we hope to attract prestigious historic venues to exhibit this collection and share it with the world.
