Hi, my name is Alajia Mckizia; I am a multidisciplinary artist in Omaha, NE.
Sunday Soul is my dream, and I am asking for communal help to bring it to life.
Sunday Soul is a five-part performance series occurring on Sundays, uplifting women and the creative arts in Omaha, NE, at a former church, Holy Family Community Center.
This series will feature spoken word, music, dance, and food events with curated experiences. All free to the public and family-friendly,
I am raising funds to pay local and out-of-state artists, food to serve at shows, and other programming costs like stage design, insurance, event documentation, etc.
I want to create spaces of healing and joy for anyone in the community to experience. Therefore, it is essential to support artists in my community and create affirming spaces to thrive in their expression. Sunday Soul is just that, a moment, a pause in time to come tap into your soul, hear exceptional music, poetry, watch incredible dancers, and enjoy our city, how we define Omaha.
Please help make this series a unique communal experience or share it with your circles. I am incredibly grateful for anyone willing to support this dream.
