Help Bring 'Strings' to life - BeanBox Studios

Hi!

We are BeanBox Studios, a group of 9 student filmmakers trying to bring "Strings" to life - a 25-minute short film that explores connection, loss, and the unexpected ways we find each other. The film is being produced in Dane County this spring as part of a capstone film production course at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Our film follows Laney, a young café owner holding onto her mother's memory through shelves of poetry books. When Drew walks into her café, something magical happens - two souls connecting through their shared love of poetry and understanding of loss.

Right now, we are busy with pre-production, working in and out of class to help bring our vision to life. Our finished film is set to premiere on the 3rd of May 2025 at the Marquee Theatre in Madison, Wisconsin. While the Communication Arts department has helped us get started with this project, we are now reaching out to you to ask for support in bringing our vision to screens and producing a high-quality short film.

Your contribution will allow us to cover essential production costs such as securing a talented cast, food to keep the team fuelled, transportation to shooting locations, equipment rentals, costumes and props to create an ambient and immersive experience and purchasing production insurance.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us turn this vision into reality.
