My name is Leon, and I’m raising funds to honor my grandfather, Stephen Harwood, a Vietnam War veteran who served with the 101st Airborne during the Tet Offensive.
Stephen was a hardened and loving person who cared boundlessly for his family, always putting others before himself. His strength and kindness left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Stephen suffered and died from terminal cancer caused by exposure to Agent Orange during his service in Vietnam.
Stephen’s final wish was to be laid to rest at Fort Snelling in Minnesota, a place that held deep meaning for him and our family.
He spent his final years in California, and now we are working to bring him home so he can be buried with the honor he deserves.
The primary expenses we’re facing are the transportation costs to move his body from California to Minnesota, as well as funeral service arrangements at Fort Snelling.
I will be receiving the funds directly, and my uncle—Stephen’s son—will be handling the funeral arrangements.
Any support will help us fulfill Stephen’s final wishes and give him the respectful farewell he earned through his service and his life. Thank you for helping us bring him home.
