What began as a joyful celebration of 10 years of marriage and 20 years of love suddenly turned into a devastating medical emergency. On September 8, 2025 while vacationing on the Big Island of Hawaii, Stacy Robinson suffered a major heart attack — an event that has left his wife, Jenine Blackwell Robinson, navigating the unthinkable while far away from home.
Since that day, Stacy has remained hospitalized in Hawaii. Despite the dedication of the care team, the medical system there is strained, and the specialized cardiac and neurological trauma care he urgently needs is not available on the island. To give Stacy the best possible chance at recovery, he must be transported back to Ohio, where long-term specialized treatment and their family support system are available.
The financial impact of this crisis is overwhelming. The combined cost of medical care in Hawaii, the emergency medical needs surrounding Stacy’s treatment, and the expenses related to getting him safely back to Ohio are expected to reach $50,000 to $100,000 — an amount far beyond what Jenine and Stacy can manage on their own.
As if the medical crisis were not enough, Stacy and Jenine’s housing situation at home in Ohio has collapsed. Because they have been stranded in Hawaii during Stacy’s hospitalization, their lease expired, and they were forced to move all their belongings into storage on 11/30/25. Their landlord, despite knowing the situation, is attempting to charge them an additional month’s rent even though they had been on a month-to-month arrangement.
This means that when they return to Ohio, they currently have no home to return to.
Many people in Columbus know Stacy and Jenine through Taste Of The Best Catering, their beloved business that has served countless weddings, graduations, family reunions, corporate events, and community celebrations. They have poured love, service, and generosity into Columbus for years — regularly donating meals to Holy Family Church and stepping up whenever someone else needed help. Now, they are the ones who need a village.
We are asking for help to bring Stacy home and stabilize this family during the hardest moment of their lives. Every contribution — large or small — brings us closer to securing the care Stacy needs and helping them rebuild their footing once they return to Ohio. If giving is not possible, please consider sharing this story or offering guidance if you have connections within medical transport, cardiac/neurological care, or rehabilitation facilities in Ohio.
Jenine is doing everything she can while stranded thousands of miles from home, without her support system, without stable housing, and facing decisions no one should ever have to shoulder alone. Your generosity will help bring Stacy home and give them the chance to begin rebuilding their lives.
Thank you for standing with Stacy and Jenine during this heartbreaking time. Your prayers, your shares, your expertise, and your kindness mean more than words can say.
With love and gratitude,
The Family
