Skyler Layne Newman was born on June 25, 1996, and his life was tragically cut short on June 20, 2026, just days before his 30th birthday. Skyler was an adventurous spirit—a true daredevil who loved to travel, explore, and experience all that life had to offer. He cared deeply for his family, always putting loved ones first, and was known for his intelligence, strength, and dedication to taking care of himself and those around him. Skyler was a son, a brother, a family member, and a friend who touched the lives of everyone he met. His sudden and violent passing in California has left our family shattered, heartbroken, and struggling to come to terms with this unimaginable loss. We never expected to face such tragedy, and the pain of losing Skyler is something we will carry forever. Our family is now faced with the overwhelming task of bringing Skyler home to Ohio, where he belongs. The costs of transporting his body, as well as the travel expenses for his parents and family members who must go back and forth for the ongoing legal investigation, are more than we can manage alone.
