"Side Effects May Include..." is a upcoming independent horror film created by three upcoming student filmmakers.

Logline: A group of friends take a trip up to the U.P for summer vacation. The trip takes a turn when one of them ends up dead.

ABOUT

“Side Effects May Include…” isn’t just a horror movie it’s a story about friendship, memory, and the blurred line between reality and perception. Set over the course of one eerie night, the film follows a group of friends reconnecting after college, only to be pulled into a spiral of paranoia, hallucination, and fractured trust. As mysterious side effects begin to surface, each character is forced to confront who they are, who they were, and what it means to grow apart. This is a story about how we change as we grow older and how sometimes, the scariest part of growing up isn’t the unknown, but realizing you no longer recognize the people you once knew.

THE TEAM

Remee Morse - Director/Producer

Remee Morse is a upcoming filmmaker out of Michigan. He currently attends Grand Valley State University pursuing a degree in Film & TV Production. He is a 3-time award winning director for his shorts Have A Nice Day (2024) and In Your Face (2024). He has been recognized by film festivals across Michigan, including the Wolf Tree Film Festival and the Central Michigan International Film Festival. Remee pushes to create realistic characters and heart-wrenching stories, creating stories that impact everyone. He cannot wait to start making this film and to work with this spectacular cast and crew.

Aidan McPartlin - Writer/Producer

Aidan McPartlin is currently going into his sophomore year and his first year on campus. His school career went off track when he was in a car accident at the end of 2022, leaving him quadriplegic. He's been working hard to regain the strength he used to have. He goes to physical therapy as often as he can and finds new ways to make his life easier. Aidan has been working on show ideas, shorts he finds interesting, and overall furthering his filmmaking career. He truly believes the movie will be great because of the talent we have in our cast and crew. He hopes you will like it!

Jack Tekiele - Cinematographer/Producer

Jack Tekiele is going into his third year of college at Michigan State University, studying sports media and videography. He is excited to get more experience behind the camera in "Side Effects May Include..." and to work with this incredible cast and crew. He has previously worked as Director of Photography for "Have A Nice Day' and as a lighting designer for the Franke Center for the Arts.
