Our Story

Dear family, friends, and community,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the devastating news of the passing of my beloved mother, Shelly Dato, in Portland, Oregon.

As we navigate this profound loss, our immediate priority is to bring her home. Our goal is to have her body safely transported from Oregon to California so that we can give her the proper, respectful burial she deserves, surrounded by the family and friends who love her.

Cross-state transportation and funeral arrangements are incredibly costly, and we cannot do this alone. We are raising funds to directly cover:

The Oregon funeral home ship-out services and transit permits

Transportation and airline cargo fees from Portland to California

The receiving funeral home fees in California

Casket, burial plot, and funeral service costs
