Hello my Name is Nicole I'm raising funds for my sick momma dog Senna. Prior to giving birth on 10/9/25 she ingested a piece of cloth. On October 2nd she vomited in the middle of the night (cloth and food), which triggered a call to our primary veterinarian. Do to pregnancy and lack of keeping down food and now water. She was scheduled to be seen on the 3rd. An ultrasound was preformed as well as multiplenX-rays views. At that time nothing was found and she was sent home after receiving I.V. fluids. We were also given a probiotic and anti nausea medication for continued home care. After the radiologist reviewed the film we were told Senna had 7 puppies. When our sweet girl's health didn't improve but worsened with incontinence we took her to our local emergency and critical care veterinarian. She was triaged and it was determined she was slightly dehydrated and had low calcium, she was treated and sent home. Senna went into labor at 3:30pm on 10/9 and birthed her "final" puppy at 4:57am on the 10th. Senna birthed 7 puppies unfortunately, we lost 1 during the birthing process. On the morning of the 11th something just wasn't right. We brought her back to the emergency vet where they determined she had a retained fetus. While in surgery they discovered a blockage in her stomach and major damage to her intestines. They had to remove 3 feet of her intestines, v she remained in hospital until the 13th. Senna was then again hospitalized on the 15th with abdominal bleeding. On the evening on the 16th while under hospitalization she had discharge from her incision site and her temperature had spiked . Staples were placed in the opening of the incision, they didn't hold. Senna was then sedated and received sutures. She was discharged on the 17th. On the 19th I noticed discharge, took her back to the emergency vet. She was diagnosed with an incisianal site infection. She was put under anesthesia to flush the site and add an abdominal drain. She was sent back home on the 21st. We were home by 1pm, a few hours later I noticed her labored breathing. My husband carried her back to the car and we were on our way back to the emergency vet at 6:20pm. Senna was diagnosed with a pyothorax, she had 2 chest tubes placed on either side for flushing every 6 hours. After being stabilize she was sent to Animal Medical Center of Seattle for a C.T. scan of her chest to determine if there was a cause of her infection. Luckily her scans were negative. As I have been bottle feeding the 6 puppies every 3 hours since the 10th I was unable to make this appointment. My husband was elated to her Senna would not have to undergo open chest surgery based on the findings. He brought Senna back to the emergency vet for continued care as recommended, where she remains today. We hope to get a "healthy" dog home tomorrow if her labs remain stable. I am starting this go fund me to hopefully recuperate a portion of our current treatment expenses of $29,281.08 in credit card debt. This does not include the 2 remaining weeks of feedings, the loss of work do to 24 hour puppy care. We are also current living on generator power do to the outage. The puppies do not have the ability to regulate there own body temperature at this time. Thank you to all who are reading this. Even if you are not in a place financially to help, all prayers, we'll wishes, likes and shares, are also appreciated. We are ready for our sweet Senna-bon to come home.
