Help Bring Salina Home to Heal ❤️

Dear friends, family, and compassionate hearts,

I’m reaching out today to ask for your support for my dear friend and co-worker, Salina—a kindhearted, spirited RN who has dedicated her life to caring for others. Now, she needs our help.

Just recently, Salina underwent a life-threatening brain surgery at Mayo Clinic in Florida to treat a large aneurysm—her second in the past decade. In 2013, she survived her first aneurysm and had a brain clip placed. This new aneurysm, heartbreakingly, formed right next to the old one, requiring an extremely dangerous and complex operation.

Her surgery took place on May 12, and by the grace of God and her incredible strength, Salina survived. Her journey is nothing short of a miracle.

While her spirit is strong and her will to heal is unbreakable, this surgery has left Salina with some neurological deficits that will require specialized recovery and therapy in a rehab center. The challenge now is getting her home to Melbourne, Florida to continue healing near the people—and pup—she loves most.

Unfortunately, Salina’s insurance will not cover the cost of medical transport, which is estimated to be over $5,000. If she cannot raise these funds, she’ll have to stay hours away from her support system—including her beloved dog, Cooper, who she misses dearly.

I created this GoFundMe with one simple hope: to help bring Salina home.

Salina is a fighter. She’s faced more than most people ever will, and yet she continues to smile, to joke, and to uplift everyone around her. She’s the kind of nurse who makes patients feel safe. The kind of friend who shows up. The kind of person who inspires everyone who knows her.
