For Ron Leh

Ron Leh, a 1975 graduate of Boyertown Senior High, is facing an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking situation. Ron is currently stuck in North Carolina while living with a terminal illness, far from the comfort of home and far from the people who matter most to him. The nursing facility where Ron is staying is being reported to the county for subpar and deeply disturbing conditions, including cockroaches feeding on open bedsores. No one should have to endure that, especially during such a fragile and painful time. Ron’s greatest wish is simple and deeply human: to be with his kids as he transitions.

This fundraiser is being created to help bring Ron home safely. Medical transport is expected to cost upwards of $6,000, and every contribution will go 100 percent toward that goal. John is asking friends, classmates, neighbors, and anyone moved by Ron’s story to come together and help make this happen.
