Ann H McCormick wants you to know:
Those of us who have had the treat of a session with Robert Fenwick, or been to his talks or classes know how uniquely insightful and brilliant he is. If you’ve had the good fortune to have his continuing guidance, you know how deeply caring he is, too. So many of us are grateful to him for the deepest of insights, and this campaign is an opportunity to give him the boost he needs to come back into our lives.
A professional dancer early in his career, Robert experienced an early onset of arthritis. While not severe at first, he began a downward slope in comfort and physical abilities. After a series of relatively small accidents (one involving his bicycle and a freakishly run-away skateboard!) his symptoms developed rapidly, leaving him in increasing pain, and with severe movement disabilities. He could often not manage to work at a level of full engagement while in this condition, though he was so devoted to many people who were missing him. Many of us have been waiting for years to see Robert, and have not known the extent of his difficult situation.
Robert lost his home in Santa Cruz in 2011, and ended up staying with friends at times, but alas, often slept in his car, leading to a long, slow spiral down in his general health, with increasing loss of stamina, strength, and hopefulness. Earlier this spring, he came to a crisis: a trip to the ER was necessary to treat chronic infection and edema in his legs. He spent two weeks in the hospital, and began a dramatic recovery which is continuing, we are happy to report!
As Robert says, “I'm feeling better than I have in many years, and actually better than I thought I ever would again! I’m excited at the prospect of finally being able to get back into my professional life, offering seminars, classes, and readings in Chinese Astrology and Feng Shui, and even coaching in the performing arts, if only I can keep my recovery progressing. Currently, I have two small streams of passive income, but they can't reach the amount I need to keep me from ending up back sleeping in my car.”
Robert has been a treasure in so many of our lives, and we want him back! The 20K we’re asking you to contribute to will allow him to have food and housing for this year as he grows stronger, gets scheduled for the double hip replacement he’s needed for at least two decades, and finds placement on a low income housing list. He can support himself again long term with this financial help to launch a new period of his life. Donate to Robert here and help us get him back! Thank you!
