It is with a heavy heart that the Barahona family announces the tragic loss of their son, brother, and uncle, Rene (Meme) Barahona. Rene passed away suddenly on September 22, 2025 after weeks of fighting complications to his organs. At a young age, Rene and his family moved from El Salvador to Massachusetts, where he lived for the majority of his life until a couple years ago when he relocated to Colorado. Rene's family and friends are heartbroken beyond belief to have lost him at the young age of 38.

Rene's family wishes to bring him home to El Salvador from Colorado, so that he can be laid to rest. For those of you that aren't aware, international repatriation, or the preparation and transportation of a loved one to another country, is very costly and as you all can imagine, a family is never prepared for this kind of expense. Any donation big or small, will make a profound difference and help the Barahona family give Rene the peaceful rest he deserves.
