Help Bring Randy Jett Home to Texas

Hi I’m Shelley Presley Peterson, the daughter of Yvette Jett Presley.

Last week, my mother realized time had gotten away from her, and she hadn’t heard from her brother, Randy Jett, in quite a while. They talked pretty frequently, so this was very unusual. After several of her & her sister’s calls & texts went unanswered, she started contacting law enforcement in California to do a welfare check on him.

On Friday, June 13th, she received the call that sadly he had passed, but the worst part of this news was that he had actually passed in March, and had been documented as having no next of kin, and his body unclaimed. After several calls to various agencies, we did find out he had a heart attack, and his body is currently at the LA County coroner’s office in California.

We are now faced with the challenge and cost of having him cremated and sent back to Texas, as he had told my mom he wanted. He is a veteran, so there are some benefits he will receive, but there are still several costs outside of that, and we are asking for your help to get him to his final resting place. Any amount you can help with would be so appreciated, and would take this burden off my mom & her only remaining sister, Bernadette, as they are both living on social security, and do not have the extra money to put towards this. Time is also of the essence, as he has already been at the coroner’s office for almost 3 months, and we must act quickly.
