Help Us Honor Raj Lal’s Memory

Hello, my name is Rene Gonzalez, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Rajnesh C. Lal—known to all his friends as Raj Lal—who recently passed away unexpectedly. We are seeking your support to help cover the costs of his funeral services and to bring him to California so he can rest close to his family.

We are heartbroken to share the passing of Raj, who left us far too soon. Originally from Fiji, Raj moved to Houston, Texas, in the early 2000s in search of opportunity and a brighter future. Although he had no immediate family here, he quickly built a community of friends and colleagues who became his extended family.

Raj began his career in the auto industry with Joe Myers Toyota, where his kind heart and unwavering dedication earned him a place as part of their family. Over the years, he continued to make a lasting impact at DeMontrond Volkswagen in North Houston, Parkway Chevrolet, and most recently, Fred Haas Nissan in Tomball, Texas. At every step, Raj found not just coworkers but a second family who valued and admired him deeply.

Raj was an extraordinary person—kind, hardworking, and selfless. His smile could light up any room, and his generosity knew no bounds. For those fortunate enough to have known Raj, he wasn’t just a coworker or friend; he was family.

Now, we are asking for your help to honor Raj’s legacy by sending him home to his loved ones in California. Thanks to the incredible support from Fred Haas Nissan, some financial assistance in place for their employees. However, additional funds are still needed to cover the remaining expenses associated with this unexpected tragedy.

We are reaching out to everyone who had the privilege of knowing Raj to come together in his memory. No contribution is too small—every dollar will help us bring Raj home to his family.
