It is with deep sadness that we share the tragic passing of our dear friend and former colleague, Raj, who left us far too soon on October 14th, 2025, at just 40 years old.

Raj passed away in Utah, USA, after suffering unexpected heart complications shortly after completing a hike — something he loved deeply. Despite the efforts of paramedics, he could not be saved.

Raj was a kind, humble, and generous soul who touched the lives of everyone around him. He loved hiking, boating, and travelling, and in the last few weeks of his life, he had been exploring North America, living life to the fullest and doing what brought him joy.

Originally from Brampton, Ontario (Canada), Raj was far from home when tragedy struck. His sudden passing has left his family devastated — both emotionally and financially. His body is currently in a hospital in Utah, and the costs for the funeral, cremation, and repatriation of his ashes to Canada are significant. Additionally, the vehicle Raj was driving has been impounded by a local towing company and is accruing storage charges daily, adding to the burden on his grieving family.

Raj was always the first to lend a helping hand, to offer support, or simply to make others smile. Now, it is our turn to come together to help him — to bring him home and give him the dignified farewell he deserves.
