Hello! My name is Megan Jensen and I'm a cinematographer, director, and producer.

I'm entering my senior year at Syracuse University's College of Visual and Performing Arts. For the past couple of months, I've been working on my senior thesis, 'Performance of a Lifetime'. Now, it's time to fundraise the money I need to bring it to life!

'Performance of a Lifetime' is a short fantastical drama that follows Kiz, who's grown up as a clown in her family's circus. However, with the slow decline of circus visitors (and clown fans), the circus is barely able to stay open, but no one in the family is willing to let it die under their watch. The pressure to keep the circus alive weighs heavily on Kiz and her childhood best friend and now boyfriend, Jan, as they grow older.

Kiz never wanted to spend her entire life in the circus, but she can't bear to leave Jan to shoulder the burden alone. Performing in the ring, and out of it, becomes increasingly difficult for Kiz as time passes. She only truly feels like herself when she's with Jan, which even recently has started to feel like a performance. Everything changes when Jan discovers Kiz's secret escape plan. Blinded by his fear of losing her, Jan betrays Kiz, shattering their bond in a way that can't be repaired. Heartbroken and furious, Kiz finally has the courage to leave the circus by herself.
