My name is Emma,

Im sitting with family talking while they type on my behalf.

Id like to think I am someone who has always been there for others, Im kind, resilient, and deeply devoted to my family.

Right now, Im facing the hardest battle of my life.

6 years ago, I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, on top of already living with emphysema and COPD. Recently, things became even more serious when I developed a pulmonary embolism, adding another life-threatening complication to an already overwhelming situation.

Every day is now a fight, not just for my health, but for stability, comfort, and peace of mind.

I am about to have my 8th round of chemotherapy. While my cancer is not curable, doctors have recommended continuing treatment as it’s helping slow things down and ease some symptoms.

But the treatment is taking a heavy toll.

The side effects of chemotherapy have been incredibly difficult and i am suffering physically and emotionally, and each round pushes me to my limits. During this time, it has been especially hard having to rely on others and face something I can’t simply push through.

As you can imagine, the financial strain has become unbearable. Between medical appointments, treatments, medications, and the rising cost of living, it’s simply too much for one person to carry and I feel like a burden... Basic expenses like rent, groceries, and utilities are becoming harder to keep up with, especially while Im unwell and unable to live life as I once did.

We previously tried to raise support for me to fulfil simple life wishes, and are ever grateful for the support shown and thank each of you from the bottom of my heart but unfortunately we didn’t reach our goal and the momentum slowed. The need, however, has only grown more urgent and the focus now moving away from dreams to survival.

This is why i am reaching out again—with hope, humility, and the goal of easing some of the weight me and my immediate family are carrying.
