These funds are for everyone's friend, everyone's support, and the hardest worker I know and my soul mate who I need home.
My husband Paulie and I have been together for 7 years. He first came to the U.S. from Belfast to escape depression after his father passed away, staying with his American brother he met in Dexter through Project Children Belfast. That summer, we met, and we quickly became each other's lifeline. I struggle with panic disorder, severe breathing difficulties, and depression, and Paulie and I truly saved each other. In all our years together, the longest we were ever apart was just three days.
Paul is extremely hard working as a head chef, there for anyone always, hilarious, and the most loved man in our town. I have a hundred character references for him already. He is the reason for success for many businesses and many coworkers.
After five years, we got married in 2023 and began the green card process. We had so much evidence of our relationship—dozens of photos, documents, and years of memories—that we thought it would be straightforward. Paulie completed his biometrics, medical exam, received his work authorization and social security number, and we waited for the final interview. Then, suddenly, everything except the I-130 disappeared from the USCIS site. We never received any denial papers, and nothing was documented online.
Paulie is a good man who has supported me through my darkest times and so many others. He is loved by everyone in our town of Clayton—he never meets a stranger and brings laughter wherever he goes.
I am asking for help to bring Paulie home and reunite our family. Any support you can give means the world to us.
I know he would not want me to ask for help but being on disability and trying to work and being too sick I can not help this situation and he has worked so hard and been such a good man that he doesn't deserve this debt on his shoulders. I appreciate everyone's help and all the love that is being flooded our way.
