OUR HISTORY
This play started as an independent senior project at NYU Tisch in the Experimental Theatre Wing last spring. We knew from the first read-through that this show's journey would continue beyond its debut and through lots of research, many emails, and several frantic face-times in the middle of the night, we are so excited to announce that "Pajama Talks" has been accepted into the Winter One-act Festival at the Off-Off Broadway Chain Theatre NYC!
A NOTE FROM OUR WRITER:
Pajama Talks was, in part, born from my strong belief that young
girls are a lot smarter than we give them credit for, and that
their silliness doesn’t take away from the big questions they
have. The play also came out of my own grieving process, with
all its messiness and confusion. Pajama Talks let me put
thoughts and feelings that have been spinning in my head for
5 years out into the world. It is exciting and absolutely
terrifying all at once.
WHY GIVE?
Our team has been hard at work in rehearsal for the past week discussing characters and beginning to build the environment of our show. We hope "Pajama Talks will give voice to some of the existential thoughts that you've always wondered about, as well as remind everyone that grief moves through time and space and is never finite.
