Help Bring Our Roshi Home

Hi all,

Over the holiday season we didn't get to celebrate with all of our beloved animals present and healthy. Our big, squishy, wonderful and usually very steady boy Roshi got very sick, very quickly. At first we were told it was pancreatitis, then gallstones, then irritable bowel disease, then potentially cancer.

Against all of our desires we had to take him to an emergency vet clinic an hour away from us and he has been mostly by himself for the first time in his almost 11 years. He doesn't do well out of the house and is our most homebody boy.

As you can imagine, the bills have been piling up. On Wednesday (Dec 27th) he had surgery on his intestines. We are currently awaiting results of a biopsy they performed to find out if he has irritable bowel disease or lymphoma (or both).

I'm not normally one to ask for financial help. But full disclosure - my business (Serpentfire Inc) has not been doing well this year. Between inflation and my own health struggles, things have been in decline. So I am relying upon the generosity of my community far and wide.

So far we've been quoted nearly 15,000.00 for his hospitalization and surgery, and that isn't including the previous visits to the vet over the last two weeks. I'm hoping that if we can cover even a portion of this, that I'll be able to put that money back into keeping my business afloat for the next quarter. And therefore will be able to continue caring for Roshi, and all of my sweet animals.
