Help Us Bring Our Music Video to Life (And Give Back While We’re At It)
Hey friends,
We’re Well Excuse Me, Princess. Philly-area musicians, mental health advocates, and lifelong lovers of loud music and louder emotions. We’ve spent the past 2 years working on a 5 song EP that was born from making sense of heartbreak, grief, growth, and the relentless work it takes to keep choosing yourself. Taking life-shattering tower moments and turning them into personal triumphs, rising from the ashes like the next evolution of your Pokémon.
One of those songs, titled “Everything I Wanna Say Taylor Swift Already Said, Better” (yes, that’s the real title), has turned into something way bigger than we expected. And we are making a music video for it (and raising money for a local charity). It’s fun, playful, emotional, and cathartic, with a healthy side of “why is basic respect still considered a grand gesture?”
Also, yeah…there may or may not be some unapologetic references in this song to Travis Kelce setting the standard with how he shows up for Taylor. Friendship bracelets. Public support. Being proud. Not fumbling the ball.….Revolutionary, I know.
At its core, this song is about self-worth and reclaiming your power. It’s an anthem for anyone who's ever made excuses for someone who couldn’t even meet you halfway. Anyone who’s been told they were "too much" just for asking to be treated with basic respect. Anyone who’s cried on the floor over someone who barely showed up…only to realize: we deserve better.
It's a reminder that we don’t have to keep settling. That we’re allowed to walk away. That real love doesn’t come from trying to fix someone. It comes from choosing ourselves. The right person won’t leave you questioning your worth. The right person will make you a friendship bracelet with their number on it. And until then? Choose you.
We all deserve effort. We all deserve someone who shows up with the kind of thoughtfulness that says, I see you. That’s what we mean by “friendship-bracelet-making vibes”. It’s a metaphor for presence, intention, and care.
To bring this message to life, we’re filming a nostalgic, ’90s-inspired music video that blends humor, heartache, and healing into one visual story. Set in a high school, it follows different women as they revisit moments where they accepted less than they deserved, and what it looks like when they finally say, “no more.”
From paper-bag-headed red flag dudes to a 10-year-old inner child dressed like a football coach, we’re turning heartbreak into power, confusion into clarity, and “tower moments” into full-blown triumphs.
It’s bold. It’s ridiculous in the best way. It’s heartfelt. And yes, there will be friendship bracelets, confetti, slow-motion scenes, and a few lovingly placed Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Easter eggs. (But just to be clear, this is not a pro-Kansas City Chiefs situation. Go Birds forever.)
We’re independent artists funding this ourselves, and we could really use your help to bring this vision to life.
Our goal is to raise $3,500.
The first $2,500 we raise will go directly toward covering our essential production costs: things like insurance, location fees, props, equipment, and food to keep our cast and crew going. These are the non-negotiables we need to bring this video to life.
Once those costs are covered, we’re hoping to raise at least an additional $1,000 for this incredible local organization within greater Philadelphia, Motivated by Music, that is doing powerful work in supporting affordable youth music education.
- Motivated by Music – A nonprofit organization that is dedicated to supporting young musicians by awarding scholarships and providing a platform to showcase their talents.
We’re committed to being fully transparent about how every dollar is used, and we’ll make sure to share receipts and updates along the way so you know exactly where your support is going.
We don’t just want to make a music video. We want to raise awareness, build community, and use our voice to support causes that align with everything this song stands for.
If you’re able to donate, share, or just cheer us on, thank you. Every bit of support helps us make something powerful…. not just for us, but for anyone who’s ever needed a reminder that EVERYONE deserves “friendship bracelet-making vibes” and to experience the magic that’s created by real effort.
As a special thank you, the three highest contributors will be credited in the thank-you notes on our EP and featured in the credits of the music video as a token of our appreciation. We want to celebrate those who helped make this project, and its message, possible.
