We are deeply heartbroken to share the devastating loss of our beloved mother. As a family, we have taken on the emotional and financial responsibility of bringing her home from El Salvador so we can honor her final wish to be laid to rest in Chicago alongside the family. Losing her has already brought an unimaginable amount of pain, and navigating the process of transporting her home has placed an unexpected financial burden on us during a time when we are simply trying to grieve.

My mother’s greatest wish was for her family to stay together, even in rest. Because of this, we are also working to bring our brother Nelly home so he can be buried with her, fulfilling her wish of having her children close to her. Unfortunately, the costs of international transportation, funeral arrangements, and all the necessary preparations have become overwhelming for us to handle alone.

It breaks our hearts to reach out and ask for help, but this situation is far beyond what we could have ever prepared for. Any contribution; no matter how small. Would make a meaningful difference and would go directly toward bringing our mother and brother home, allowing us to lay them to rest with dignity, love, and peace. We are truly grateful for any support, prayers, or shares during this incredibly difficult and unexpected moment.
