Help Bring Jude Home ❤️

Jude is a quiet, incredibly loving and kind boy, adored by his little sisters and best friends with his big brother. He's the sort of boy who asks for very little but means the absolute world to his family and friends.

Last week, Jude, his mum Amy, dad Paul and the rest of the family arrived in Türkiye for a much-needed break. After a busy summer and everyone getting back into the routine of work, school and college, they were looking forward to spending some precious time together.

What happened next is every parent's worst nightmare.

Jude suddenly became seriously unwell. He was rushed to hospital, where his mum and dad received devastating news that no parent could ever be prepared for. Jude has an aggressive brain tumour.

Jude remains critically ill in a specialist hospital in Türkiye. His condition is extremely serious, and his family are desperately trying to get him home to the UK for the care and treatment he needs.

Last week it was Jude's birthday.

A day that should have been filled with laughter, family, presents and celebrations. Instead, Jude spent his birthday critically ill in a hospital far from home, with his family facing an unimaginable situation.

His mum Amy is by his side, watching over her boy, frightened of what the coming hours and days might bring. She and Paul are doing everything they can for Jude and his siblings while facing something no parent should ever have to experience.

The family have been advised that a specialist medical flight to bring Jude safely back to the UK could cost more than £40,000.

And this is where an extraordinary charity has already made an enormous difference.

Lia's Wings, a UK charity dedicated to helping seriously ill children and their families access vital medical air transport, have incredibly pledged £20,000 towards bringing Jude home and can make all the necessary arrangements for this specialist medical flight.

Their generosity means we are already halfway towards covering the estimated cost of Jude's flight.

But we urgently need to find at least another £20,000.

On top of this, the family face the uncertainty of hospital bills and the everyday expenses of being stranded abroad.

We are exploring every possible avenue of support, but time is precious. Right now, Amy and Paul's only concern should be Jude and their other children.

That's why we're here. And that's why we're asking for your help.

Our hope is to get Jude safely home, where he can continue receiving the specialist care and treatment he needs through our incredible NHS, surrounded by the people who love him.

Jude should be enjoying life with his friends, making memories with his family and looking forward to everything his future holds.

On his birthday, his family should have been celebrating with him. Instead, they're simply hoping for the chance to celebrate many more.
