**Memory: An Ode to Connection and Creativity**

Hello! I'm Damon, a husband, father, son, designer, developer, writer, thinker, and lover of the digital cosmos. I am humbly here to share a little of my story as I need your generosity.

Two years ago, my mother, a beacon of creativity, service, and giving, left us due to COVID-19. She wasn't just anyone; she was a helper, someone who dedicated her life to working in a hospital and spending countless hours volunteering for at-risk youth. Being her son, I inherited a heart brimming with a desire to give and connect. Being that I am her son, I, admittedly have been doing a poor job of coping with her loss, she was my best friend. One day, I checked my inbox to see messages on Facebook from strangers that shared their stories about my mom helping them and impacting their lives, many were strangers to her. Reflecting on their stories and my mother's love of writing, Memory was born – a social media platform inspired by her love for sharing her writings and connecting with the world. This project has been the first healthy grieving I've done since her passing. I am motivated to make my impact on others' lives and help the creative community that she was a part of.

In the vast landscape of the digital world, there's a genuine need for a space that's decentralized, federated, and safe. Where creativity, expression, and information flow without constraints. Where one is not a mere user but a part of an ever-evolving community. This is the essence of Memory – a tribute to my mother's spirit of creativity and the digital legacy she left behind.

The funds we raise will power the dreams of many like myself who are tirelessly working on this project, keeping the servers running, handling service fees, and ensuring licensing needs are met. We are committed to fostering a space where the voice of every individual resonates, and the power of collective creativity flourishes.
