My daughter made Aliyah 11 years ago, and the rest of our family joined her five years later. Life was good for us in Israel until the October 7th war began. We were living near Haifa at the time, and the conflict was especially difficult for my 9-year-old granddaughter. For the safety and wellbeing of our family, we made the difficult decision to leave our home and return to the United States in October 2025.

We left many personal belongings behind in storage, waiting to be shipped. Among these are my oldest daughter's urn and precious family photos. My daughter lost her life in a car accident years ago, and her remains, along with these memories, are still not with us. Bringing her home to her final resting place is something my family needs for closure and healing. Having these belongings back will allow us to fully process our loss and move forward together.
