My stepdad was detained by ICE at 7am early morning on 7/23 when he was getting ready to leave for work. He had gotten a traffic ticket the week prior. 2 days after paying it, ICE arrived and detained him in front of his son.

He has been an active member of the LDS church, volunteering much of his time helping his community in the last years. He is a Baptist for the church and helps people when they are moving.

He is being held in Davis county jail until his court date at the end of August. We would like to get an immigration lawyer to give him a chance at getting a fair outcome and perhaps a permit so he can continue to work.
