ROOMS IN THE HOUSE: Help Bring Oma's Story to Life

Tax deductible
We're here to raise funds for our next movie, "Rooms in the House."

Using rooms in a house as metaphors for facets of the human self—and hands as characters—the story begins with Oma, an elderly woman swiveling on a squeaky porch swing. She then travels through her home, from the kitchen with hungry turkey chicks in a box, to the cold and dark basement, a nursery prepared for her grandchildren, the living room with flickering lights, an attic, and more. She hears scratching and growl-like barking sounds. Where are the children? She searches through the rooms, her memories, and her personal inner constructs to better understand herself and the world—then exhales.

We begin rehearsal next week. There's not much to show until we are actually in rehearsal. But check out the prototype we're using to create "Rooms in the House." It's our first movie, "Tales from Dapple Creek." You can view it by using the following link and password. Tales from Dapple Creek (27 min.) https://vimeo.com/841710165

Or view a 5-minute version, "excerpts from "Tales from Dapple Creek."

When David Lynch died, I felt a bit disconnected. Quite some time ago I felt a connection with his work (not all of it), so I did a comparative analysis of his work and mine. There are similarities. The use of light, and of time, taking a common thread and finding its brilliance, and more.

Let's see where this new movie, "Rooms in the House," where it blossoms and leads to new and deeper understandings.

I'll keep this story updated (especially those photos). So, stay tuned...
