Help Bring Oksana to Toronto!

My name is Celena, and together with my family have been cheering on a 24-year-old Ukrainian woman from Kyiv named Oksana Petrenko on her harrowing journey toward safety in Canada.

In March, Oksana made the difficult decision to flee to escape the war, leaving behind her parents, home, job, friends, and life as she's known it for the unknown.

She has traveled alone through four countries, staying in hostels, couches, and bus stations. Currently, in Germany, she has finally secured a visa to come to Canada.

Once here, Oksana will be staying with us as long as she chooses until she is fully settled and back on her feet.

She has been funding most of her travels alone, but after an extended wait for paperwork and the realization that she can only book a direct flight to Canada, she needs a bit of help on this final leg! Though I will be coordinating this fundraiser, all money raised will go directly to Oksana's flight to Canada. The remaining funds, if any, will help with other necessities on her journey
