Hi, my name is Michael Powers, and I’m raising funds for my little brother, Nolan Powers. Nolan was 24 years old and the kind of person whose smile and warmth would light up every room he entered. He gave more than he took, had a deep love for animals and nature, and always provided an uplifting attitude to anyone who was hurting. He brought so much joy to those around him, and I cherish every moment I spent with him.
Recently, our lives were turned upside down when our father, Richard Powers, passed away, and then a year later, Nolan’s mother passed away. Nolan blamed himself for everything, but he fought so hard to keep a smile on his face. We would talk for as long as we could to keep our spirits up, and he would always mention how much he missed our dad’s breakfasts, making pancakes, or driving up to Idyllwild to explore the mountains. He was a bit rough around the edges, but he was one of the most loving people I have ever known. I always looked to his happy demeanor as motivation to keep my head up.
With time and distance, Nolan fended off his feelings of guilt for as long as he could, until he couldn’t. On April 7th, 2026, he passed away. Today, on April 22nd, 2026, I’m just finding out about his passing. Because of the short window I have to come up with the money for his cremation and to bring him home, I’m asking for help. With my wife and I having a baby soon, it’s more than my family can handle at the moment. Every donation will go toward the cost of cremation and all of the fees that come with it. If you’re not able to donate, sharing this page would mean just as much to us. Thank you for taking the time to read Nolan’s story and for any support you can give. It truly means everything to my family. - Michael Powers
