Hello everyone,

I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help and support for my mother, Maria Elena Vidal, who many of you know and love as Nena. She is currently in critical condition and has been in the Intensive Care Unit in Mexico since Saturday, August 9th after being diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome.

As some of you know, medical expenses in Mexico are extremely high, and due to her condition, the costs continue to rise each day.

Our hope is to gather enough funds to cover her care and to arrange an air ambulance transfer to a hospital in the United States as soon as possible, so she can get the best chance at recovery.

This situation has been especially difficult for my siblings and me as we are still coping with the loss of our father, who passed away in Mexico this past February. Covering his expenses has left us financially strained, and now we are struggling to cover my mother’s urgent medical bills.

Those who know my mom know she is a warrior. She survived a stroke years ago and, with God’s grace, overcame that challenge. She is an amazing mother, grandmother, and woman with a kind and generous heart. Her grandchildren, family, and all who love her need her home.

We would be deeply grateful for any support you can give — whether it’s through a donation or simply by sharing this campaign. Every bit of help brings us closer to getting her the care she needs.

Con el corazón en la mano les pido ayuda y apoyo para mi mamá, María Elena Vidal, a quien muchos de ustedes conocen con cariño como Nena. Actualmente se encuentra en estado crítico y desde el sábado 9 de agosto está hospitalizada en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos en México después de haber sido diagnosticada con Síndrome de Guillain-Barré.

Como saben, los gastos médicos en México son muy altos, y debido a su condición siguen aumentando cada día.

Nuestra esperanza es reunir suficientes fondos para cubrir sus gastos médicos y poder pagar un traslado aéreo en ambulancia a un hospital en Estados Unidos lo más pronto posible, para que reciba la mejor atención y tenga la mejor oportunidad de recuperación.

Esta situación ha sido especialmente difícil para mis hermanos y para mí, ya que seguimos enfrentando la pérdida de nuestro papá, quien falleció en México en febrero de este año. Cubrir esos gastos nos dejó con dificultades económicas, y ahora estamos luchando para cubrir los gastos urgentes de mi mamá.

Quienes conocen a mi mamá saben que es una guerrera. Hace años sobrevivió a un derrame cerebral y gracias a Dios pudo salir adelante. Es una madre increíble, una abuelita amorosa y una mujer con un corazón lleno de bondad. Su familia, sus nietos y tod@s quienes la queremos la necesitamos de regreso en casa.
