I am not from Atlantic City, so my costs are higher than most. I got all my credit cards and bank statements together and had ChatGPT tally up gas, rental cars, tolls, hardware stores, lodging, the K9 search team from Maryland, parking, FedEx and Staples, and pet food stores. Here is a rough estimate of what was spent searching for my dear Nala. I asked ChatGPT what I should ask for as a goal. It said $20,000, but incurring all these expenses and to keep searching, is my choice and Nala is my cat. I have other life expenses as well, but I can't expect people to take care of my responsibilities. I'm just asking to meet me half way if you can so I can continue the search. Please and thank you. Hopefully it reaches the eyeballs of some animal loving, cat crazy in love humans that understand how giving up everything for your furbaby isn't so crazy at all, plus have some funds to help keep the search healthy and alive.

July 9th, 2026 - For the past four weeks, I’ve been in Atlantic City, New Jersey, searching for my beloved cat, Nala. Stitch, Nala’s twin brother, and I were traveling from Florida to New York City when we made a brief stop in Atlantic City. Less than ten minutes after arriving, Nala disappeared, and our lives have been on hold ever since.

There have been no confirmed sightings.

I’ve put my projects, my income, and my life on hold to focus on finding her. Nala and Stitch were foster kittens I adopted in 2024—what rescuers lovingly call a “foster fail.” I never imagined my lifestyle could include pets, but they changed everything. Instead of fitting them into my life, I built my life around them. Losing Nala has left an unimaginable hole, and I’m doing everything I can to bring her home. During the first week alone, I hired a professional K9 search team from Maryland, but despite countless hours of searching, there have been no solid leads. Every day brings more expenses—gas, tolls, lodging, my rental car, flyers, food for search stations, and other supplies—while the income I depend on has come to a complete stop.

Being far from home, without family or close friends nearby, has made this journey even more difficult. If you’re able to help ease some of the financial burden, I would be deeply grateful.
