Hi, my name is Lori, and I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart and a plea for help.

For the first year of her life, I was blessed to raise my great-niece, Nahanni (whom we lovingly call Hanni). In February 2024, Nahanni was taken from me and placed back with her mother. While I won't speak negatively about her mother, I will say that Hanni's mother has five children and only has custody of Hanni.

Since that day, my nephew Leeves—Hanni’s father—has been fighting to bring his daughter home, but it hasn’t been easy. The mother moved out of state and has cut off all contact between Leeves and his daughter. It’s been nearly two years since we’ve been able to love on and care for Hanni, and our hearts ache every single day.

We’re asking for your support as Leeves continues to fight for full custody. Legal fees are steep, and we need help to make this happen. So far, Nahanni’s Nana has already paid $400 for a consultation with a lawyer in Utah, but the retaining fee to start the process is $5500, with an additional $900/month until we win Hanni back.

No donation is too small. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will go directly toward covering the legal costs to bring Nahanni home where she belongs.
