Help Bring Nadir Hassan Home

Our family is raising funds to support Nadir Anwar Hassan, who is currently being held in ICE detention in El Paso, Texas. Nadir recently graduated from University at Buffalo and was returning home on May 24 after attending the Steel Bridge Competition, where he participated as a student leader and representative of his university team. While boarding his flight home, he was unexpectedly apprehended by ICE agents at the gate.

Nadir is a hardworking, compassionate, and deeply involved member of our community. Between balancing school and family responsibilities, he has also dedicated his time volunteering with our local fire department and supporting those around him whenever possible. This sudden detention has placed a tremendous emotional and financial burden on our family.

We are raising funds to help cover immigration legal expenses, bond/bail costs, and travel and family support expenses related to his detention.
