My name is Grazi, and I am fundraising to help bring my spouse home. On September 26, 2025, my wife was unexpectedly detained during what was supposed to be a routine ICE interview. We have an adjustment of status application already pending for her green card, and we fully believed we were on the right path. But since that day, she has been held in detention—not because of anything she did wrong, but because of a conflict between agencies about who has the authority to complete her case.
USCIS has informed us that they cannot conduct her adjustment of status interview because her case must be handled by an immigration judge. But the immigration judge will not make a decision because USCIS has not completed its interview. My wife is stuck in the middle of a bureaucratic loop, and we have been fighting every single day to get clarity. Meanwhile, she remains detained in Adelanto, separated from her family, her home, and her life.
We are doing everything legally required, attending every hearing, and following every instruction. But until one of the agencies accepts jurisdiction, my spouse continues to be held—despite having a pending green card process, despite having no criminal history, and despite being a loving partner who only wants the chance to build her life here with me.
This situation has caused enormous emotional and financial strain. Legal fees, travel costs, and daily expenses are growing beyond what I can manage alone. I’m asking for help so I can continue fighting for her release and make sure she receives the legal representation she needs to finally resolve this jurisdiction issue and come home.
