One week ago, my son thought he just had a cold, but things quickly became much more serious. After visiting the Indian hospital, he was sent to a heart specialist in Oklahoma City, where we learned he had congestive heart failure. The doctors had to draw fluid from around his heart immediately, and he spent several days in the hospital. When he was finally released, he was hooked up to a monitor to keep his heart safe and prescribed a lot of medication. He was told to take care of himself, eat right, and rest, but he is unable to work and had to use his last paycheck just to pay for motel rooms while he was getting care.

Now, we need to bring him home to California so he can be surrounded by his supportive family and get the aftercare and medications he needs. Flying is too expensive, so he will be driving his car, but he needs help with gas, motel rooms, and meals along the way. He has to stop often and walk, and we are hoping family members can meet him halfway and help drive him the rest of the way. If his doctor says he can’t drive, one of us will fly out to bring him home. Whatever happens, it will be expensive, and we simply can’t do it alone right now.

Any amount will help us in getting him home. I am afraid he could pass away by himself so far from us. We will be truly blessed by your help.
