My sister went to California in 2019, and that was the last time we saw her. Since then, her life has taken a heartbreaking turn. All her belongings were stolen, and she has been living on the streets of San Diego and Las Vegas, struggling every day just to survive. Tragically, she was taken from San Diego to Las Vegas by a man who abused her for hours and trafficked her. The trauma she endured has deeply affected her mental health, and she has been left vulnerable and alone. Recently, she got in trouble simply for trying to meet her basic needs, and it seems that the weight of everything she’s been through has caused her to check out emotionally. In February, she reached out to us, and now I have a chance to bring her home. She is currently in a mental hospital, and I need to travel from Arkansas to Las Vegas in the middle of April or early May to get her and bring her back to her family. I will need to rent a car, pay for gas, and cover travel expenses for both of us. The funds raised will also help with food and anything else she might need for her recovery and safe return. I am doing everything I can to help my sister start a new chapter surrounded by people who love her.
