Throughout my career, a constant and recurring theme in my work has been humanity's fraught relationship with the natural world and the disastrous impact our species continues to have upon wild creatures and their habitats. But since the 'Unite the Right' Nazi rally in Charlottesville, VA, in August of 2017, I have felt a responsibility to broaden the scope of my work to include the increasingly divisive ideological and political issues we have faced in the United States during the last decade, as well as continuing to highlight, through the depiction of images portraying climate catastrophe and animal abuse, our never-ending assault upon the natural world.
On February 13, 2026, the opening reception of my solo exhibition, '89 Seconds to Midnight,' will be held at Strata Gallery in Santa Fe, NM, featuring 15-20 paintings I've completed since 2020. I intend to frame and hang several watercolors that have become larger oil paintings, print a premium 40+ page exhibition catalog, print promotional materials such as postcards and posters, and perhaps invest in print ads in a couple of local publications. In order to accomplish those goals, I will need additional funding, and that is the reason for this ask. LET'S DO THIS!
