After speaking with the coroner’s office in Arkansas, details about the entire process of having her body transported and what all is required as well as the amount of time certain details would have taken to be addressed, it simply would not have been possible for me to bring her home to Florida to give her a burial. My two siblings and myself have decided together to have her cremated where she is at now. Then we can have the cremated remains shipped to us from the funeral home in a matter of a day or two. This change has reduced the over all projected cost quite significantly and I just wanted to let everyone- for those who have donated, you are so greatly appreciated and we want you to know exactly what your money will be doing for us. I still have every intention of moving forward with the memorial service the same as before only now it will be a scattering of ashes and a Chinese lantern lighting ceremony in place of a burial. The location or venue will be figured out after the cremation has been paid for and the remains shipped. That way we will have a more accurate idea about what will be realistic and affordable. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to offer comfort and condolences and of course thank you again to those who have donated or plan to donate. It wouldn’t be possible without you and it’s a kindness that I be grateful for forever.
