My mom was unexpectedly taken into ICE custody while on her way to a church event. She was simply a passenger in a car and did not break any laws. She has been going through the legal visa process and already had legal representation helping her case. Since being detained, our family has been trying to locate her, speak with attorneys, and make sure her rights are protected while we fight to bring her home safely. This has been an incredibly emotional and difficult time for our family. My little sister is in remission from leukemia and has type 1 diabetes, and my mom was her main caretaker.

Our lawyers are already filing petitions in hopes to get bail, and we are already spending so much money on lawyer fees. The funds will help cover immigration lawyer fees, legal filings, transportation costs, phone expenses, and support for our family while we work through this process. Every donation will go toward helping us continue fighting her case and making sure she has the support she needs during detention.
