Hi, my name is Kandie Cortes. My mom was targeted by ICE today in El Monte, CA, behind the valley mall by Casa Linda. Four cars blocked her and took her when she was getting out of her car at 11 am. She was followed from my house to the valley mall, and when she got off the car, that's when they got her. She was taken to LA County B18 at 11:32 am and is being transferred to Adelanto tonight.

This has been incredibly hard for me and my brother. We are scared and overwhelmed, and I am struggling with major depression disorder. Money is tight right now, and I don't have enough for lawyer fees. I am doing everything I can to help my mom, but I can't do it alone. The funds will go directly toward lawyer fees to help my mom fight her case and hopefully bring her home.

Anything can really help. I just want to get my mom back so I can be okay again. I really don't wish this pain on anyone. Your support means everything to us. Thank you for reading and for any help you can give.
