Dear Family and Friends and other Angels,

On June 19th, my mom and I flew to Vancouver, Canada for a trip of our lifetimes. With excitement and anticipation, we were looking forward to special mother and daughter time on an Alaskan Cruise that we planned out for a good part of last year into this year. Unfortunately, the morning after we landed, my mom suffered a major hemorrhagic stroke and heart attack.

We are going into our 4th week now and we are still in Vancouver. She remains hospitalized, incoherent, on a feeding tube, catheter, and not lucid. There isn’t anything more that can be done except to bring her home to Boston. Without international medical insurance, we are accumulating hospital and other expenses and anticipating her long-term care needs.

However, what we are focused on right now is getting my Mom Home. It is not medically safe for her to travel by commercial airplane at this time. Our only choice is a private medical flight home. If we exceed our goal for the medical flight, further contributions will be applied to hospital and other medical expenses, including long-term care.

My mom has been selfless throughout her whole life, putting others before herself, taking care of her late elderly parents, helping family and friends, dog sitting, cat sitting, and giving anything and then some to those that need help. She is devoted to her religion and God, so please pray with me for her recovery and to get her home safely.
