Help bring my little brother home
Donation protected

On Sunday, April 9th, my youngest brother Nate Bartlett was found unresponsive in the room that he and his fiance Ainore were sharing in Phuket, Thailand. They had been planning on returning to the United States to get married at the beginning of May.
Nate was transferred to Wichira hospital in Phuket and had lapsed into a coma on arrival. For the first week, it was unclear weather he would live through each day. He was put on a machine to help him breathe as well as a feeding tube.
Over the last few weeks his health has moved in a much more stable direction. He is breathing on his own now, and has opened his eyes and lifted his head off of his pillow. However, he still has very little response to any stimulus aside from some instinctual responses to discomfort.
Thailand has informed us that, unless we get a medical extrication flight for him, Nate will have to stay in the country indefinitely, or until such time as he recovers fully enough to board a commercial flight on his own. Instead, we would like to bring Nate home ASAP and get him the healthcare he needs for the best possible chance at recovery.
We are hoping to get Nate on his transport and medical flight out of Thailand by the end of the first week of May. To do so, the following will need to be covered:
* Stretcher fare from Phuket to Seattle
* Round trip ticket for escort team
* Medical equipment
* Travel insurance
* Transportation for medical team during trip
* Ground ambulance between aircraft at airport
* Airport clinic
* Ground ambulance and airport clinic service in Dubai
* Medical team fee (1 Dr. and 1 RN)
* Visa fee for medical team
* Hotel fee in Phuket for medical team
* Management fee
It is my hope that we can get Nate out of Thailand and back to Seattle safely. Once here, he will be checked into a hospital for further treatment and he will have access to insurance as well. Once we have a better picture of what his recovery will look like we will be able to begin planning for his long-term care. At that point, Nate will have a support network of family and friends that will be able to see him, encourage him, and be with him day-to-day.
I love my little brother very much. Any help provided will be deeply appreciated and will help us to give Nate a better chance at life.
Thank you for hearing Nate's story,
