Hi, my name is Julio Tlatelpa-Orozco. It’s been 4 months since they separated my husband from me. To say it has been a stressful and difficult journey is an understatement. The emotional turmoil I live with every day is draining, and the financial stress I have on me is overwhelming.
My husband Yan Carlos and I have been through so much just to be together. He is the most beautiful and sweetest man I could ever ask for. He makes sure I’m always mentally well, always pushing me to be a better version of myself, always looking for a better life for both of us. He works hard for what he has and always try find ways to better our lives. To say I miss him is an understatement. The void I feel coming home to an empty home, laying in an empty bed knowing he should be next to me, and waking up without him while he is in a cold detention center being treated like a criminal is heartbreaking.
We went from seeing each other every day, making beautiful memories, and going on adventures, to suddenly being separated again. Now, I wait for his phone calls, drive hours for a brief visitation, and hear him cry about the difficult conditions inside the facility. It’s devastating to know he’s suffering when all he’s ever done is try to build a better life for us. He was taken during one of the recent immigration raids, even though he has always followed the rules and has no criminal record. He has never missed an I.C.E. check-in and has done everything legally to provide for us and build a better life. Unfortunately, we have become victims of a system that targets hardworking, innocent people like my husband, who are simply trying to do the right thing.
The cost of getting him a lawyer and paying all the legal fees on my own has been overwhelming. In order for me to bring him home safe and sound, I need to make a payment for his release. Every day he spends in custody is another day our family is apart, and it breaks my heart to see him go through this when he has done nothing wrong.
Any help I am able to get will go a long way to get my husband home. Your support, whether big or small, will make a real difference in helping us cover the legal costs and bring him back where he belongs. We are deeply grateful for any contribution during this difficult time, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for standing with us.
Please help me achieve my goal. The cost of legal fees and his bail bonds have become extremely expensive, and all I want is to get him out and bring him home safe and sound!
Once again, thank you so much for all of your contributions. We are eternally grateful for your help.
Sincerley,
Julio Tlatelpa-Orozco
