My name is Ashley and as of yesterday my husband Adzahel was detained by ICE at our residency appointment which I thought would be our last because of an overstayed visa he was taken. He entered the country legally, has never committed a crime, and has always tried to do everything the right way. We have worked hard to follow the proper steps, but now he has been taken to the Otay detention center, and our family is facing a situation we never imagined. We were given only two minutes to say our goodbyes before ICE took him away, something I never thought we would have to experience.

All of the funds raised will go directly toward hiring an attorney to help us through this process. We have children who need their dad home. Especially , during the holidays the expenses during this time are overwhelming, and I am doing everything I can to keep our family together and strong . My husband is a good person who only wanted to build a better life for us and it breaks my heart to see him in this situation.
