My world turned upside down when my grandson was taken from us by DCS in Tennessee. Just an hour after I took my last picture with him, he was gone. Despite my clean record—over 30 years without any issues and my experience as a licensed security guard for the state—they told me I couldn't take him in, and they wouldn't even explain why. My heart breaks for my grandson and his parents, who are now facing a confusing and painful legal battle. The situation began with a domestic violence charge that was ultimately dismissed, and although there was no drug testing, legal THCA use was admitted. DCS told his mother that if she didn't prosecute, they would take him. After thinking everything was resolved, they went to court only to have their child taken away. Now, we're left devastated and unsure of what to do next, especially after being cleared to take in his cousin's children in Knoxville with thca in his system.
We are raising funds to cover the legal fees needed to fight for my grandson's return and to reunite our family. The emotional toll has been immense, and the financial burden is more than we can handle alone. Any support you can offer—whether it's a donation or simply sharing our story—would mean the world to us. Thank you for standing with us during this incredibly difficult time. Your kindness and generosity can help bring our family back together.
